Marie Ricci.com Builds On Ceiling Medallions Success

(TAMPA) Marie Ricci Collection has added six new designs to its ceiling medallion
line which debuted with four designs in 2004 and now boasts more than twenty-four.

\"It\'s been enormously gratifying to have customers return to ask for additional
designs for other rooms in their homes,\" said Ricci. As with all her products,
Ricci designs, then carves the original medallion which is used to create a mold for
the hand poured lightweight resin ceiling medallions.

Early this year, the company decided to sell at retail only, after almost 6 years of
concentrating on the wholesale market.

\"Over the years, I\'ve found that dealing directly with the customer inspires me.
Plus I have more flexibility relative to design changes or color changes than is the
case when wholesaling.\"

Ricci, who hand paints and finishes each item, notes that her new nautical theme
ceiling medallions resulted from a customer comment. She believes that the customer
interaction possible when selling directly to customers lets her stay ahead of
consumer trends.

Ricci, whose medallions and plaques have been featured in magazines, designer
showhouses and grace the homes of celebrities, has turned down one company\'s offer
to license and manufacture her designs, preferring for now, at least, to personally
control the quality and presentation of her designer plaques.

Designs for children\'s rooms dominate the ceiling medallions and wall clocks series,
but the Marie Ricci Collection has added new designs, such as Vines and Nautical,
that are ageless in their appeal.

Marie Ricci Collection\'s first product was the hugely popular letter plaque, which
was quickly joined by coordinating accent plaques, clocks, then mirrors and most
recently ceiling and chandelier medallions.
